David Sims O. D.

Dr. David Sims is from Tennessee, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology for the Health Sciences at Maryville College. Following graduation, Dr. Sims worked two years at the Tennessee School for the Deaf where he became proficient in American Sign Language. Dr. Sims moved to Texas in 1997 to attend the highly-ranked University of Houston College of Optometry.
 
During his clinical rotation service at the Golden Eye Clinic in East Texas, Dr. Sims received externship training in primary eye care with an emphasis on glaucoma, ocular pathology, and trauma. Additional externship training was with glaucoma sub-specialists at Houston Eye Associates, where further experience was gained in the management of glaucoma and ocular disease. He provided eye care as a Harris County Hospital District Katrina Volunteer and is currently a member of the Texas Optometric Association and Harris County Optometric Society.
 
Primary family eye care is the focus of the practice, but you should know that Dr. Sims is also attentive to all medical conditions that affect your eyes, such as diabetes, hypertension, neurological disorders, and vascular disease. You will be warmly welcomed by Dr. Sims, who takes great care to address concerns during your exam so that you feel satisfied and confident with the high level of thorough care you receive.
